Vol. 441 No. 5

Written Answers. - Prisoner's Hospital Appointment.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

104 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice the position regarding the request of a person (details supplied) who is in the isolated unit in Mountjoy Prison, Dublin 7, to have tests carried out in the Mater Hospital regarding stomach pains; and if the necessary arrangements can be made as a matter of urgency.

A hospital appointment was arranged for 28 February 1994 for the person referred to by the Deputy but as the person was required to attend at Dublin District Court on the same date the appointment was cancelled. A further appointment was arranged for 2 March 1994 but he declined to attend it.
