Ceist:152 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education the estimated number of students from this country pursuing courses in third level institutions in Britain and Northern Ireland.

Information provided by the Departments for Education in Britain and Northern Ireland indicates that in the academic year 1992-93, there were 6,778 students from the Republic of Ireland in full-time attendance at courses of higher education in the United Kingdom. Of these, 2,279 students were in full-time higher education in Northern Ireland.
