107 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the new regulations governing the lease of milk quotas; the way in which they differ from the previous regulations; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The operation of the milk quota system in Ireland is governed by the European Communities (Milk Quota) Regulations, 1994 (S.I. No. 70 of 1994). These regulations came into effect on 1 April 1994 and replace the European Communities (Milk Levy) Regulations, 1985 (S. I. No. 416 of 1985).
