Ceist:135 Mr. Jacob asked the Minister for the Environment his views on the success of the shared ownership scheme; and the number of transactions there have been under this scheme in each local authority since its inception.

I am generally satisfied with the take-up under the shared ownership scheme to date. Information on the number of transactions completed under the scheme in individual local authority areas is contained in the Department's Annual Housing Statistics Bulletins 1993 and 1992, copies of which are in the Oireachtas Library.
