I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Doyle — the decision of the South-East Regional Tourism Organisation not to reopen Kilrane tourist office, Rosslare Harbour, County Wexford; (2) Deputy T. Ahearn — the urgent need to appoint a remedial teacher, on a shared basis, to Gortnahoe, Ballyshoe and Glengoole national schools due to the dire need for such an educational facility, as is evident from the educational psychologist and inspector's report; (3) Deputy Boylan — the urgent need for the Minister for the Environment to make allocations to local authorities under the scheme of grants for specific improvement works on non-national roads; (4) Deputy Yates — the Government's response to the proposal by the trustees of the Trustee Savings Bank to sell the bank to National Irish Bank as submitted on 29 April, 1994; (5) Deputy J. Mitchell — when revised designated areas will be decided and announced under the Urban Renewal Act, 1986; and the urgent need for the designation of that part of James's Street and Bow Lane, Dublin 8, between Mount Brown and Steevens' Lane and Inchicore Village in view of the severe decay in these two areas. (6) Deputy Gilmore — the reply to Parliamentary Questions 128 and 133 of 26 April 1994, in relation to giant hogweed; (7) Deputy E. Kenny — the reduction in teacher numbers at Derrypark national school, Finney, Claremorris, County Mayo, with the resultant lack of proper educational facilities for children and the consequent lessening of standards of spoken Irish in the area as this is the last Gaeltacht school in the vicinity.
