12 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the concerns, if any, he has regarding the amount of overtime being paid in State companies under his control; and the plans, if any, he has to reduce this cost to the taxpayer.
It would not be appropriate for me to answer this question as the day-to-day running of State-sponsored Bodies including overtime is a matter for the respective entities. I would remind Deputy Deasy that the House was informed of my position in regard to his previous similar question on 30 March 1994.
