I have no direct function in relation to the administration of Madonna House, which operates under the aegis of the Sisters of Charity and provides residential care for children placed by the Eastern Health Board.
Arising out of allegations of misconduct against certain members of staff, the Sisters of Charity have appointed a team to carry out a review of the operation of the home. I understand that the team is investigating all aspects of the operation of the home and that their report is due to be completed in the near future.
