Vol. 442 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

25 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a full cattle headage payment has been made to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; the reason for a reduction on the second payment of 40 per cent in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named applied for the 1993 cattle headage scheme in respect of eight beef cows and eight animals under two years old. The total amount of grants to which he was entitled was £830.40. He was paid an advance of £658.44 on 3 December 1993. The balancing amount of £171.96 was paid on 19 April 1994.

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

26 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when cattle headage will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. However, the application of the person named for grants under the 1993 cattle headage scheme is being processed at present and any payment due will be made in the near future.

He was paid an advance of his June 1993 special beef premium on 9 February 1994. This application is being processed further at present and any balance due will be paid shortly.
