Dáil Éireann díospóireacht -

Vol. 443 No. 2

Suspension of Member.

The Deputy has defied the Chair in such flagrant fashion I must now ask that a motion be moved that Deputy Allen be suspended from the service of the House.

For raising a point of order.

I move:

That Deputy Allen be suspended from the service of the Dáil.

(Interruptions.)

This is outrageous.

There would be no call for this if the Minister for Social Welfare was prepared to give honest answers in this House.

(Interruptions.)

There would be no call for this disorder if the Minister for Social Welfare——

There would be no call for Deputy Bruton if, as Minister for Finance——

(Interruptions.)

This is outrageous.

A motion has been put to the House.

We wish to vote on it.

This is steamrolling of a most extraordinary degree.

(Interruptions.)
