105 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education the intended date of appointment and the school at which the remedial teaching post announced for Castlebridge, Screen and Curracloe national schools in County Wexford will be based; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
106 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education the intended date of appointment, and the school at which the remedial teaching post announced for Monageer, Boolavogue, Monamolin and Kilmuckridge national schools in County Wexford will be based.
107 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education the intended date of appointment and the school at which the remedial teaching post announced for Sacred Heart, Newbawn, Cushinstown, Raheen and Ballyduff national schools in County Wexford will be based.
I intend to take Questions Nos. 105, 106 and 107 together.
I recently announced the allocation of 100 remedial posts for primary schools with effect from 1 September 1994, bringing the total now in place to 1,133.
It is intended that these posts should be available to the selected schools from the commencement of the 1994-95 school year, in September next.
The actual selection and appointment of the remedial teachers is a matter for the board of management of the base school in each case.
In relation to the groups of schools in County Wexford referred to by the Deputy and which were allocated shared remedial posts, the base school is as follows:
