81 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the proposals, if any, he has to tackle the unemployment levels in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, in view of the representations made to the Taoiseach on his recent visit to the town.

As the Deputy will appreciate, in the context of agreed policy, matters relating to the development of specific areas are the responsibility of the industrial development agencies including Forbairt and IDA Ireland and are matters in which I have no direct function.
