Ceist:13 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Defence the total moneys to be expended on improvements to Army barracks in 1994; and the barracks which will benefit from this programme.
Written Answers. - Expenditure on Army Barracks.
A total of £7.9 million has been provided under Subhead V — Building and Engineering Works — in the Defence Estimate for 1994. This provision will be expended on capital and maintenance projects throughout the Defence Forces. Within that total, moneys will be spent on building projects, engineering works, painting, maintenance and repairs and purchase of stores and materials for the Corps of Engineers. Expenditure will arise in relation to the majority of military barracks and posts as well as FCA premises.
I promise to circulate in the Official Report a list of the military barracks and posts in respect of which the bulk of the expenditure will be made in 1994.
