Vol. 445 No. 9

Written Answers. - Visits to Northern Ireland.

Austin Currie

Ceist:

217 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the number of occasions on which he has visited Northern Ireland since the Government was formed; the date, venue and purpose of each visit; and the same information in relation to the Minister or Ministers of State, if any, at his Department. [1549/94]

Since the Government was formed, I visited Northern Ireland once to mark the official opening of the Shannon/Erne Waterway at Corraguil Lock, Teemore, County Fermanagh on 23 May, 1994.

The Minister of State at my Department has not visited Northern Ireland during the period in question.
