103 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Defence if he will make a statement on the future of the military barracks at Castlebar, County Mayo; the staffing levels in the barracks at the moment; the levels of expenditure on the barracks over the last three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are no plans to alter the status of the military barracks at Castlebar.

For security reasons, it is not the practice to disclose the number of Permanent Defence Force personnel stationed at any barracks.

Since 1991 a total of £19,832 has been expended on repairs and refurbishment works at the barracks.
