71 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Justice the proposals, if any, she has to improve the Garda station in Clonmel, County Tipperary; the refurbishment programme, if any, there is; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1780/94]
I understand from the Garda authorities that approval has been given to carry out refurbishment works at Clonmel district headquarters comprising of external painting, upgrading the public office and relocating and improving the kitchen facilities. In addition, it is proposed to locate an in-service training facility at Clonmel and to upgrade the cell block. These works will be carried out as soon as possible.
