Vol. 447 No. 11

Written Answers. - Dental Treatment of Children.

Rory O'Hanlon

Ceist:

101 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health when he will implement the legislation to allow for the dental treatment of all children aged between 12 and 16 years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1372/95]

Limerick East): It is my intention to make regulations straight away extending eligibility for dental treatment to children up to their 14th birthday. This extension of eligibility will have effect as from the date of the regulations.

I will consider the possibility of extending eligibility up to age 16 years in 1996.
