134 Mr. Gallagher asked the Minister for Education the steps, if any, she has taken to deal with the difficulties that have arisen from the suspension of two teachers by County Laois Vocational Education Committee; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1942/95]
In exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Vocational Education Acts, 1930 to 1970, I have ordered that inquiries be made into the suspension of two members of the teaching staff of County Laois Vocational Education Committee in accordance with Section 7 (1) of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1994 and I have appointed an Officer of my Department to conduct such inquiries.
