187 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a review of the early retirement scheme from farming, particularly the farm enlargement clause will be held; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1889/95]

The operation of this scheme is monitored on a regular basis and any changes will be considered, if necessary. The enlargement conditions of the scheme is a requirement of the EU Council Regulations on which the scheme is based.
