Under the terms of the new operational programme for fisheries 1994-99, EU grants to the fishing industry are being funded from the Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance, FIFG, which has replaced FEOGA in this area. I expect to be in a position to announce details of the next tranche of FIFG grants for fleet, aquaculture and processing projects during the month of March next.
