Written Answers. - Cultural Development Incentive Scheme.
Applications for grants under the cultural development incentives scheme to be administered by my Department under the Operational Programme for Tourism 1994-1999 were recently invited in the national press. I understand that an application form for funding under this scheme was sent to the Virginia community theatre group as requested by them. The closing date for the return of all applications is 3 February, 1995. I will soon be establishing consultative structures to advise me on the allocation of the funds available to me under the cultural development incentives scheme and the application from the Virginia community theatre group will be considered in that context if a proposal is submitted for consideration.
