Written Answers. - Allocation of Maintenance Staff.
The allocation of maintenance staff in the vocational education sector is made on a scheme-wide basis. It is a matter for the vocational education committee to deploy the staff as it sees fit. My Department has sanctioned a total of 19.34 maintenance staff whole-time equivalents for the County Meath vocational education scheme. The staffing levels of vocational education committees are governed by the Government policy on the overall staff numbers within the public service.
