169 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Justice if her Department has received an application from a person (details supplied) in County Galway for permission to remain in the State; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3309/95]

An application for permission to reside has been received from the person in question.However, the applicant, who is a Swiss national, has been advised that a work permit is required before permission can be considered.
