Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Killeen — the need to develop major attractions in County Clare and other western counties while EU funds are available; (2) Deputy Eric Byrne — the urgent need to review and update the Register of Prohibited Publications; (3) Deputy Broughan — the water supply crisis in Fingal and the northern fringe of Dublin City; (4) Deputy Dukes — the progress made in relation to the proposed 120 Megawatt peat fired power station in the northwest Kildare/East Offaly area; (5) Deputy Seán Ryan — the decision taken by the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications and Aer Rianta to enter into a third party handling agreement at Dublin Airport from 1 January, 1995: (6) Deputy O'Rourke — the Government's proposals for Irish Steel; (7) Deputy Theresa Ahern — the totally unacceptable condition of Scoil Carmel, Cashel, County Tipperary, a school for the mildly mentally handicapped; (8) Deputy Sargent — the need to expedite the application by St. Maur's Regional Cultural Auditorium Project at Rush, County Dublin, to the National Heritage Council for grant assistance; (9) Deputy Finucane — the urgent need for action to alleviate the serious flooding at Foynes, County Limerick, and (10) Deputy Kathleen Lynch — the urgent need for Ireland to declare a unilateral ban on the manufacture or assembly of landmines, instruments of torture or their components; and to campaign in international fora for a worldwide ban on the manufacture, assembly, trade and use of such instruments.
