237 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence, in view of the commitment made in reply to Parliamentary Question No. 5 on 19 June 1991, with regard to vessels for the Slua Muirí, the progress, if any, to date regarding this commitment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4584/95]

In 1993 a motor launch was purchased for An Slua Muirí in Waterford to replace a vessel which had become unserviceable. Towards the end of 1994 a contract was placed for the supply of a Weymouth 32 class vessel for use by An Slua Muirí in Limerick. This vessel is due for delivery shortly.
