Brian Fitzgerald

Ceist:

57 Mr. B. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for the Environment the total number of miles of county and regional roads in each local authority. [5676/95]

Information in relation to the number of kilometres of regional and county roads in each local authority area can be obtained from the inventory of public roads in Ireland as at 31 December 1977 which is available in the Oireachtas Library. I am requesting local authorities to carry out a new inventory, which will provide data on the length of the public road network as at the beginning of this year.

Brian Fitzgerald

Ceist:

58 Mr. B. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for the Environment the total funding provided by his Department to each local authority for the upkeep and improvement of the county and regional road network in each of the last five years. [5677/95]

Rory O'Hanlon

Ceist:

59 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment the total allocation for counties Cavan and Monaghan for non-national roads in 1994 and 1995. [5723/95]

Rory O'Hanlon

Ceist:

60 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of Exchequer funding provided for non-national roads in each county in 1994 and 1995. [5722/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 58, 59 and 60 together.

Details of grant payments made to local authorities for non-national roads in the years 1990-1993 are contained in the reply to Question No. 72 of 24 May, 1994. Grant payments in 1994 are contained in the reply to Question No. 101 of 31 January, 1995. Details of this year's allocations are set out in my Department's booklet "1995 Non-National Road Grants Allocations", a copy of which has been placed in the Oireachtas Library.
