The Youthreach provision in the vocational education committee sector was expanded to 2,000 places at the end of 1994. Of these, 1,632 are filled at present, and the remainder are in the process of being filled. With regard to the vocational training opportunities scheme, there is provision in 1995 for 5,000 places, of which 4,604 are filled at present.
