73 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health the total amount of moneys that have been allocated to the health boards to meet their statutory obligations under the Health (Nursing Homes) Act; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5869/95]
Limerick East): Since the Health (Nursing Homes) Act, 1990, came into effect on 1 September 1993 a total of almost £31 million has been made available to fund subventions under the Act. I am satisfied that the amounts allocated to each health board are sufficient to meet the expenditure which health boards have incurred and continue to incur under the scheme.
