24 Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will provide a free Teagasc advisory service for young farmers taking or leasing land under the farm retirement scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6395/95]
There are no funds available to my Department or to Teagase to provide a free advisory service for young farmers taking or leasing land under the farm retirement scheme. The fees charged by Teagase for advisory services are considered reasonable for the very valuable service provided.
