67 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Finance the total number of new car sales for the period 1 January 1995, to 31 March 1995; if he will give a monthly breakdown of all motor vehicle sales in this period; the comparative figures for 1994; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7047/95]

The information requested is not yet available for March 1995. The number of new category A vehicle sales, principally motor cars for January and February 1994 and 1995 was as follows:—

The available data indicates that the growth in new car sales, which was evident in 1994, has continued into 1995.
