15 Mr. O'Malley asked the Minister for Health if his Department has received indications of plans to compete with the Voluntary Health Insurance Board from any insurance firm in the Irish private health insurance market; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7064/95]

, Limerick East): My Department has had discussions with a number of insurance companies who have expressed an interest in the Irish health insurance market. However, no indication has been given by these companies that they have taken a definite decision to enter the market here.
