58 Mr. Foxe asked the Minister for Education the progress to date in researching the problems arising from the proposed amalgamation of the three post-primary schools in Ballaghaderreen; if the problems will be resolved satisfactorily for the next school year; and if not, the plans, if any, she has for the pupils and teachers of the three schools involved. Discussions are ongoing between my Department and the interested parties in relation to the proposed amalgamation of the three schools in Ballaghaderreen.
Every effort is being made by my officials to ensure that the matters of concern to the management authorities and the teachers will be resolved in sufficient time for the amalgamation to take place, as planned, at the commencement of the 1995-96 school year.
