Trading opportunities in Ukraine in 1995 will depend on the development of its economy and economic system. Irish exports to Ukraine showed steady, if unspectacular, growth to reach £4.7 million for 1993, the latest year for which complete Central Statistics Office figures are available.
Irish companies have been successful in availing of the opportunities in the various multilateral assistance programme for Ukraine, which is likely to form the bulk of trade in the short to medium term. An Bord Tráchtála will facilitate exporters through their various programmes in winning business in the Ukraine.
