It is not possible, at this stage, to consider the Irish Shorthorn for inclusion in the list of rare cattle breeds under REPS. The Irish Shorthorn is an integral part of the wider shorthorn population in the United Kingdom and does not satisfy the criteria for inclusion in the EU list of endangered breeds.
