73 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education if she will review the application for a higher education grant by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of his reduced income and the increased income threshold for 1994. [88256/95]
The higher education grants scheme, pre-1992, including the means test tables and the attainment requirements, applicable to a candidate is the scheme of the year he-she qualified academically for a grant. As the person involved in this case entered third level education in 1991 he is subject to all the terms of the scheme of that year. The reckonable income exceeds the limits set down in the relevant third level student support scheme and therefore no grant aid is payable.
