Vol. 452 No. 8

Written Answers. - Sheep Scab.

Ben Briscoe

Ceist:

67 Mr. Briscoe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the information, if any, his Department has or has collected on the incidence of sheep scab since the abolition of the compulsory regime of sheep dipping. [8816/95]

I refer the Deputy to my reply in the House on 28 February which gave detailed up-to-date information on outbreaks of sheep scab. To date in 1995 a total of 11 cases have been confirmed. The future arrangements for controlling sheep scab are under review.
