115 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Health the level of assistance provided by his Department and the eight health boards to the home care assistant programme of the Carers' Association; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8881/95]

Limerick East): Generally speaking, the health boards do not provide specific assistance to the home care assistant programme of the Carers' Association but some of the boards, particularly the Eastern Health Board, run their own home care assistant programmes.
