The holding of the meeting in question was, as the Deputy will be aware, a matter of public information. On 21 February 1995 I announced in the House my intention to set up that meeting and gave a clear indication of its purpose. That purpose was to facilitate the exchange of information and to provide a forum for discussion on the issue of multi-channel television.
As the Deputy has pointed out, the meeting did go ahead as planned and, as I said following the meeting, it provided a useful and frank exchange of views. This fact was public knowledge and I am not aware of the leaking of any confidential information from that meeting.
