Written Answers. - Local Authority Meetings.
Work is under way in my Department on the preparation of comprehensive regulations under Part V of the Local Government Act, 1994, to modernise and consolidate the law on local authority meetings and related procedures. The aim will be to complete this work by the end of the year. It is not my intention that the new regulations will restrict the matters which can be considered at local authority meetings.
