Written Answers. - Tax Refund Query.
I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's tax affairs for 1989-90 to 1992-93 were reviewed in 1993 resulting in an overpayment of £193.66. This was repaid to him on 26 August, 1993. The taxpayer was again notified in writing of the position when he called to the tax office recently. There is no further refund due in respect of these years. A PAYE balancing statement issued on 9 May last for the year 1994/95 but no refund arose. A review for 1993/94 is being dealt with at present and the taxpayer will be notified of the outcome shortly.
