145 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Justice when the new courthouse at Anglesea Street, County Cork, will be operational; and if the consequent transfer of the District Court from Washington Street will lead to the immediate refurbishment of that building. [10283/95]
It is now planned that the District Court staff will move into the new Courthouse in August 1995 and that District Court sittings will commence there in September 1995.
I am awaiting initial sketch plans from Cork Corporation in relation to the proposed refurbishment of Washington Street Courthouse. At this early stage it is not possible to say when works will commence.
