Aid from the European Union is provided from the Structural Funds in three operational programmes towards current expenditure and capital costs in the regional technical colleges. The operational programmes are: human resources development; tourism; and industrial development.
The operational programmes provide detailed descriptions of the actions to be undertaken in the period 1994-99 and set out the gross financial allocations and aid levels for these actions on a year by year basis.
