Vol. 454 No. 6

Written Answers. - Medical Card Application.

Eamon Walsh

Ceist:

101 Mr. E. Walsh asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made to issue a medical card to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 who has already applied for this medical card, who is dying from cancer and who wishes to continue to work until his death; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11124/95]

Limerick East): The issue of a medical card to any individual is a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board.

I have asked the Eastern Health Board to examine this case as a matter of urgency and to reply directly to the Deputy as to the outcome of their investigations.
