Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Ned O'Keeffe — the cost to the State of old motor cars arising from the £1,000 grant payable in respect of ten-year old motor cars; (2) Deputy Ring — the case of a foreign national whose application for a work permit has been refused; (3) Deputy Noel Ahern — the early start programme and the eviction of community preschool playgroups in Ballymun to cater for the programme; (4) Deputy Molloy — the need to facilitate the licensing of an increased number of taxis suitable for use by persons confined to wheelchairs; and the need for financial assistance to be made available to facilitate the expansion of this service; and (5) Deputy Tom Kitt — the need for an investigation into the availability of drugs at an event on Saturday. 24 June; and the drug related death of a young man who attended the function.

The matters raised by Deputies Ned O'Keeffe, Molloy, Noel Ahern and Tom Kitt have been selected for discussion.
