Written Answers. - Essential Air Services Programme.
Tenders for the operation of services to the regional airports under the Essential Air Services Programme were advertised in the Official Journal of the European Communities on 25 June, 1994.
Tenders for the Dublin/Donegal/ Dublin route were not satisfactory and the EU Commission was asked to readvertise the route. This was done in January 1995.
The tenders subsequently received were forwarded to the EU Commission as required by Council Regulation 2408/92. A decision on the award of contracts to operate the route will be taken following detailed examination of the tenders.
