128 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education the number of new and vacant posts in public service agencies under her aegis other than posts in the Civil Service approved since 1 January 1995; the number of such posts approved by her; the number approved since 1 May 1995; and the number and date of such approvals since 1 June 1995. [11862/95]
The education institutions in receipt of funding from the Department of Education were informed of their staffing and-or financial allocations for the 1995-96 school-academic year in the period January to May 1995. Staff appointments are a matter for the management of the institutions in accordance with the relevant regulations. The Government press release dated 8 June 1995 states that the process of recruitment will halt with effect from 9 June 1995.
