152 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of new and vacant posts in public service agencies under his aegis other than posts in the Civil Service approved since 1 January 1995; the number of such posts approved by him; the number approved since 1 May 1995; and the number and date of such approvals since 1 June 1995. There are three State agencies under the aegis of my Department, the Combat Poverty Agency, The Pensions Board and The National Social Services Board. No new posts were approved and no vacancies arose in the Combat Poverty Agency since 1 January, 1995.
The Pensions Board had three vacant posts on 1 January 1995. Two of these were filled on 17 March 1995 and 4 April 1995 respectively. Arrangements are currently in hand to fill the third vacancy. No vacancies have arisen and no new posts have been approved since 1 January 1995.
The National Social Services Board had one vacancy on 1 January, 1995 which was filled on 1 May 1995. An additional post was approved in May 1995 and was filled on 22 June 1995.
