42 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for Health the steps, if any, he is taking to review the school-based health service in view of the commitment in the strategy for effective health care in the 1990s, Shaping a Healthier Future; the plans, if any, he has to publish the results of the review; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Limerick East): The review of the child health service is in progress. A consultant with considerable experience in this area is at present engaged in a fundamental examination of all aspects of the service, and I will be considering the options for improvements in the service when his report is available. I will be announcing the outcome of this process in due course.
