Vol. 455 No. 3

Written Answers - Sale and Lease of Lands.

Noel Ahern

Ceist:

49 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the current position with regard to the sale and lease of land at Shanowen Road, Santry, Dublin 9; if the legal difficulties have been overcome and if he will indicate the portion of the site which is now let; the annual income received; and if the income is more than the rental income previously received for a smaller portion of the site. [12126/95]

The legal difficulties affecting these lands have not yet been overcome; the Chief State Solicitor, in consultation with counsel, is endeavouring to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. As soon as the difficulties have been resolved, the Chief State Solicitor will arrange to give legal effect to the agreements which have been reached for a sale of part of the property and a lease of the remainder.

There is no letting agreement currently in respect of this property or any part of it. Portion of the lands are occupied by the party to which a sale has been agreed, and payment in respect of this occupation will be resolved in the context of the sale.
