107 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Education the total amount of money provided for her Department's 1994 recreational facilities scheme; the total amount of grant aid approved for projects during her term of office in 1994; the total amount of grant aid approved for projects during the term of the caretaker Fianna Fáil Government in the period from 17 November to 15 December 1994; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An amount of £4 million was provided for the recreational facilities scheme in 1994 of which £350,000 was committed to projects where grants had been allocated in 1993. An amount of £3.386 was allocated in August 1994 and the balance of £266,000 was allocated in early November 1994. A total of 538 projects were assisted in 1994. No grant-aid was approved for projects during the period referred to by the Deputy.
