150 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the negotiations that have taken place in relation to the sale of the Sluagh Hall, Drogheda, County Louth, the headquarters of B Company of the 8th Battalion; if the sale has been concluded; if there is an alternative site for a training facility for this company; the location of this alternative facility; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 151 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the plans, if any, he has for the sale of the Sluagh Hall, Drogheda, to a developer; the alternative arrangements which will be made for B Company of the 8th Battalion, FCA for the future; the circumstances of any such sale; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 150 and 151 together.
There are currently no plans to dispose of the Sluagh Hall, Drogheda, County Louth. However, a proposal was recently received in relation to this property and the matter is under examination. The Deputy will be informed as to the outcome of these deliberations.
